Fluffy Cream Puffs Ingredients:
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- To begin, set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and a pinch of salt, and bring the mixture to a rolling boil.
- Add the flour all at once, stirring continuously until the mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat.
- After removing it from the heat, let it cool slightly—around 5 minutes—then mix in the eggs one by one, making sure to beat thoroughly between additions until the dough is smooth and glossy.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the baking sheet, leaving enough space between each for expansion.
- Scoop or pipe the dough onto the prepared sheet, then bake for 20-25 minutes or until the puffs are beautifully golden and puffed up.
- Whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together in a bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Slice the tops off the cooled puffs, fill them with the whipped cream, and replace the tops. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
